Through fun & educational events, we provide wholesome outlets to families in Baldwin county, Al
Join us in nurturing the growth of children and families in our area through engaging ,fun, and educational events.
Our community project is designed to give children and families in our area wholesome, healthy outlets, and promote creative writing & literacy.
We supportive a community that prioritizes quality time and personal development of our loved ones.

There's not a single one of us that has all the answers to nurture children individually.
If asked, what kind of a community
you would want to raise your family in,
Most of us, would probably respond....
One that will allow my family and loved ones the opportunity to connect, thrive, and grow in a beautiful way!
To even attempt to understand every aspect of childrens' development,
we need to first be passionate about children and their well-being.
*Be open and willing to pull from others' experiences and knowledge.
*Listen to their tiny but valuable voices.
We simply need to provide what they need by slowing down and paying attention to what matters and their voice.
At Whole Child Happenings of Baldwin County, we believe that when we do that, we let them know they are valued. When we educate ourselves with available resources, collaborate with others who have their own very useful backgrounds and skillsets, connect with them on a very intentional level, we become so aware, so in tune to their needs, dreams, and goals, and eventually everything else we envision for them has the opportunity to reach, stretch, and expand and eventually come to fruition.

To the group of children of all ages that joined us in the private events that we've hosted.....
I love that you all worked together and expressed your individual interests.
You are a joy to witness.
Your support of each other is wonderful and your passion for creating and building is inspiring.

To the Mom who called after an event and mentioned her daughter had been
"feeling down" lately and expressed how happy she was to get out of the house and play w/ the group of friends...
-Thank you for the insight.
This is why we do what we do.
Please bare with us and understand that we have just built this new website to have in place as our very green inception is still a vision to blossom and grow. Clearly, It may be apparent that our passion is with children rather than technology and the components of building websites!
We've recently registered as a non-profit. Our volunteer impact thus far has been offering complimentary events in our community for families, children, and grandchildren on a very tiny scale free of cost.
From the cutter box recycling event for dyslexia awareness month at the mezzanine at the Spanish Fort Library, to public parks book readings, from organizing excursions to various local educational facilities, and other recreational fun outings, we are proud to have received such good feedback from the participating groups -even at the small level which we've been able to provide so far.
We've been so pleased to have a handful of volunteers and chaperones willing to help with some events. Some retired teachers who have helped, an occupational therapist, and some of the parents who showed up and assisted and helped with the some of the activities.
From bucket tractor train pulls to outdoor movie nights, to ole fashioned sack races, bobbing for apples, to fun filled educational afternoons such as the
All-a-bot-it robot build & relay, magnet fishing, RC car race evenings, ice excavation & team word building, to family nature scavenger hunts, etc.
Sensory exploration afternoons w/ homemade
"ice cream" contests where children were encouraged to explore their senses to attempt to discover the recipe all the while learning about the surprisingly wholesome ingredients. Others included our peanut ball dance & welcome calm play.
From reading nooks to music corners, we've been able to provide various outlets to inspire creativity, learning, healthy relationships, and community bonding.
Most importantly, I believe amongst anything else is to remind children on a regular basis that they are a priority.

Our dedication in our community reflects one of sponserships in both education, literacy, and enrichments for children.
From Whole Child Happenings inception, we have been thankful to have made such donations as literacy boxes that included books, hooked on phonics materials, learning mats, and stem related cutter boxes to some of our public schools. We've made efforts to bring awareness to learning tools such as pro scanner pens which have been proven to aid in a variety of ways for children in a classroom or home learning environment, as well as other beneficial aids however not yet added in to our local schools system at this point and we hope to see that evolve in the near future.
In addition, a single platinum sponsorship was made through our founders 'families 'primary business to our local SFEEF organization
which is dedicated to the feeder schools in Spanish Fort Alabama.

We believe in Children, Education, and Growth Mindset

Summer of 2026 we have hosted a structured literacy and enrichment activities through a small group summer co-op consisting of 10 children in total. It was one of the most beautiful experiences we have had as of yet and look forward to being able to continue offering educational and fun outlets to our local children.
Much thanks to some of our helpers who have been able to bring us some additional enrichments thus far.
Jennifer F. (Educator and literacy council background) for the musical games.
Hattie K. (Occupational therapist) for her motor movement class
and Ms. April (local high school art teacher)
for her watercolor instruction

All of which has been brought to families at no cost through our non-profit. Currently we've not begun to raise funds for our projects and hope to continue to offer what we can.

We affectionately referred to it as The Growth Pod. We sang our special march song each morning, worked on academic refreshers for the upcoming school year, build projects, made new friendships, played outdoor recreational games, watched life cycles, and rode the nature bucket train exploring and taking time to stop, listen, and view the world around us.

Many memories were made and all the children received a custom Whole Child Happenings learning adventure coin as a keepsake.

SOMEDAY IN THE NEAR FUTURE: We would love to find a special property and build a beautiful place for children to grow, learn, play, and shine in the best way possible!

Our "Build them up" initiative focuses on 3 E's-.....What we consider to be some of the most important aspects of childhood development.
Emotional, educational, and enrichments designed to build emotionally resilence, embrace a whole child education, and create enriching recreational outlets for children all the while building them up
and reminding them to BELIEVE in themselves.
We will be able to provide useful materials for children to grow and learn. This has provided us the opportunity to offer childrens literature free of cost to our local schools, libraries, and various educational facilities as part of the community project as well.
Our goals are to inspire children and encourage them to put their imagination into creating. Sadly, libraries report downsizing nationwide throughout elementary schools.
We intend to instill the values that they are a priority through wholesome messages that encourage their young spirits and offer and recommend useful messages to all children.

Your interest and willingness to participate, volunteer, teach, be involved, or support the initiative in any way, enables us to grow and continue making a difference in the lives of our youth right here in Baldwin County. We are grateful for what we have been able to be part of (even at this very green stage) of our mission, and we look forward to so much more in the near future.

Products we love and recommend

We believe every elementary school and up should consider these for children to use. What an amazing tool for any child to utilize. Just a few of these in every library or classroom would be a game changer to assist in childrens' literacy, and help those who can read well but perhaps need more time to process what they read, decode it, or have working memory issues. They provide language translation, also help those who have audio processing challenges. They are great for note taking and storage for studying as well as offer many impressive features for children and adults alike. We tried them out with a group of kids and they absolutely loved them. It seemed to encourage them to work new techniques for learning, recalling, and their engagement was very exciting to watch and observe. Their interest to learn and grow was eyes wide and a beautiful sight to witness.
